Our main ingredient used in our balms is grass fed beef tallow sourced right here in South Dakota! Many people are unfamiliar with this ingredient in our modern era; however, the use of animal fat on skin dates back as far as ancient Egyptian and Roman times! Even as recently as 200 years ago, tallow balm was a household staple.
Tallow is rendered beef fat. We spend many days rendering and purifying this fat to bring you an incredibly clean and pure moisturizer for your skin. From this lengthy process comes a product that does not leave you smelling like beef if you use our unscented balm. In addition to that, we add luxurious essential oils to make our other balms smell heavenly.
Grass fed beef tallow is naturally abundant in many minerals and vitamins that your skin needs. Beef tallow is also very similar on a molecular level to our skin, which allows it to be easily absorbed and work to hydrate your skin quickly.
Tallow is amazing for ALL skin types, however, if you or someone you know struggles with specific skin issues such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, or product sensitivities… we encourage you to try our balms! I’ve seen an amazing improvement in my family’s skin and I personally have struggled with acne, eczema and contact dermatitis.
